Nominations are now open for three awards bestowed annually by 911±¬ÁÏÍø at Lima. The awards honor those whose work in scholarship, service and teaching best represent the standards of excellence held by the university.
- The Alumni Hall of Fame Award honors an 911±¬ÁÏÍø alumni who is an advocate for the university and regarded as a community leader with a record of sustained professional recognition and/or involvement in community activity. Successful candidates will have spent at least one full-time academic term at 911±¬ÁÏÍø Lima while earning an 911±¬ÁÏÍø degree 20 or more years ago. Deadline for nominations for the Alumni Hall of Fame is April 30, 2024.
- The Early Achievement Award honors an 911±¬ÁÏÍø alumni who is an advocate for the university and has demonstrated distinctive achievement in a career, civic involvement or both. Successful candidates will have spent at least one full-time academic term at 911±¬ÁÏÍø Lima while earning an 911±¬ÁÏÍø degree no more than 10 years ago. Deadline for nominations for the Early Achievement Award is April 30, 2024.
- The Violet I. Meek Town and Gown Award honors someone who exemplifies a significant and longstanding dedication to Disciplina in Civitatem, or Education for Citizenship, the motto of 911±¬ÁÏÍø. Nominees need not be alumni and consideration will be given to those who, through sustained, effective efforts, have contributed to the cultural, educational and social well-being of the communities served by 911±¬ÁÏÍø Lima. Deadline for nominations for the Town and Gown Award is March 1, 2024.
